MENTAL HEALTH

Bringing Communities Together

We offer people and animals with mental health challenges a creative and holistic approach to managing their mental health and wellbeing. We do this by working with with U.K businesses and animal professionals to provide services free of charge to those that need our support.

 WHAT DRIVES US

Our Mission

We wanted to make the connection between animal lovers and animals being great for people who have challenging times with their mental health. Extending that further we want to support people around the U.K by encouraging them to approach their mental health and wellbeing with a more holistic approach such as being creative with a paint brush, taking yoga classes or learning a new skill.

ABOUT US

Animal Mental Health

BACKGROUND

Do you have a rescue pet that needs mental health help? Are you a small rescue with little support to help support you to rehabilitate animals you are looking to rehome in their forever homes? We are here to help you!!

HOW WE HELP

Many dogs especially suffer with their mental health in a variety of ways such as depression, anxiety, OCD & PTSD to name a few. British dogs alone are suffering from these mental health conditions with a report that 1 in 10 dogs have one of these conditions this is a “silent epidemic” and there is not enough support to help these animals many of which have been in rescue or are currently in rescue centres awaiting a forever home. These behaviours are developed from several contributing factors such as previous trauma in their lives before they are saved, changes to routines, lack of exercise and not enough social or physical affection given.

These challenges animals face can be helped and supported that is why we offer support via our network of experienced professional trainers, behaviourists, animal psychologists and holistic practitioners. We not only support dogs with their mental health we aim to support as many animals large or small to give them the best quality of life and to help them find or remain in their forever homes.

HOW IT WORKS

We do have some vetting we carry out to confirm your pet is a rescue in need of support or you need support with rescues in your care this is accessed on individual case needs.
